On Saturday February 11, Eden will be welcoming the skate team Synchronicity onto the ice for three special synchronised performances.

The group, who come from Devon and Cornwall, will be delighting the crowds with their sharp turns and stunning spins.

Synchronicity, led by team coach Shelly Clarke, is made up of skaters aged between 12 and 27. They have been working together since last September and have wowed crowds during their debut performances in Plymouth and Eden over the Christmas period.

Their performances will take place at 11:50am, 12:50pm and 1:50pm and are included in the price of admission.

Visitors can show off their own skills on Eden’s glittering ice rink until February 26, with each 40 minute session costing £5. There are a range of activities and offers for the whole family, including:

•    Parent and Toddler sessions for accompanied under-sixes to play on the rink with lots of toys. These take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday morning and cost £3 per child with one free adult.

•    Chilly Penguins skating sessions for six to 12-year-olds involving rink races, team games and prizes. These one-hour slots take place every Sunday at 10.45am and are £5.

•    Mid-Week Saver Skate on Wednesday afternoons until February 22 (except February 15) when visitors can enjoy two hours’ skating for the price of a 40-minute session.

February 11 is also the first day of Eden’s Chocolate Jungle festival. Throughout the half term, visitors will be able to learn all about chocolate - the food of the gods. They can explore where chocolate comes from, who grows it, and how it is produced. There will also be plenty of opportunities to make and sample chocolate treats.
