On Friday, March 30 there will be an irresistible selection of blues on offer at the Eden Café, with musicians Gren Bartley and Matt Woosey.

Gren Bartley stands astride the great traditions of both English and American folk music. He explores both fully; ranging from traditional English folk songs to dark American blues.

His song writing has a great depth and insight, which combines with effortless guitar playing to create a vibrant musical landscape for each audience.

Gren has toured extensively around the UK, gaining a core of fans with his solo album Carry Her Safe. The album is full of heartfelt songs and breath-taking musical interludes.

Matt Woosey is a singer songwriter from the West Midlands with a bold, bluesy voice and an explosive slap-and-pick technique. Added to rich, soulful song writing his music leaves listeners captivated.

Dan Ball, Eden Café Manager, said: “Gren Bartley and Matt Woosey bring the best of what the British folk and blues scene has to offer and it’s a pleasure to be able to welcome them to the Eden Café.”

The gig takes place from 8pm until midnight. Tickets cost £4, or £3 for concessions and tickets bought from the café beforehand.

A selection of locally sourced beverages will be on offer throughout the night. Bread, dips and a choice of seasonal hot food will be available until 9:30pm.
