The Eden Project is inviting members of the public to get snapping in a competition to produce an exclusive calendar and postcard collection for 2013.

The 12 winners whose images are selected to represent the changing seasons will each receive a lifetime membership to Eden worth £1,000 and see their work on display in the Eden Shop.

Images entered for the competition must be original and showcase the changing seasons at Eden capturing what Eden means to the photographer. Each image needs to be accompanied by a short caption sharing the story behind the photograph, which will also appear in the calendar.

The judging panel at Eden will be headed up by Tim Smit KBE, Chief Executive, Development, and Co-founder of Eden.

Tim said: “We want to create a calendar that reminds people of the memorable moments that they’ve had at Eden and just how inspiring nature can be. I am looking forward to seeing a selection of images that shows how a little piece of Eden can be created anywhere.”

To enter, those interested must send the following to by Monday May 21, 2012:
•    Name and contact details, including a phone number so they can be contacted if their image is short-listed.
•    Low-resolution image or link to image on Flickr
•    Short caption (no more than 100 words) explaining the story behind the image.
