Become a gardener for the day at the Eden Project
The Eden Project is giving people the chance to work alongside its internationally renowned
horticultural team and get a hands-on, behind the scenes experience of the iconic Biomes.
The unique opportunity will enable people to pick up tips and techniques from the team as they work in the Rainforest Biome, the Mediterranean Biome and Eden’s outdoor gardens.
They will be able to help harvest tropical fruits and spices in the Rainforest Biome, tend to the Malaysian home garden and gain a stunning aerial view from the Rainforest Lookout.
In the Mediterranean, the budding gardeners can plant vegetables and gather citrus fruits or even look after the vineyard and the olive trees.
There is plenty to be done outside, from pruning trees and shrubs and planting seeds, to mulching borders and harvesting fruit and vegetables. People can also see how kitchen and garden waste is used to make nutrient-rich soil, by visiting Eden’s super-sized composter.
Steve Burrell, Eden Skilled Horticulturist, said “It’s a fantastic opportunity to get stuck in with the team at Eden in a unique environment. Where else could you garden in Malaysia, South Africa and Chile, all in one day?”
The experience includes lunch in the Eden Bakery, refreshments, a certificate and a special gift. The day costs £99 for one person or £175 for two people, and is open to gardeners of any ability aged 18 and over.
The experience runs throughout the year. To find out more information, or to book, contact the Eden box office on 01726 811972 or email@example.com
