Kaj Skjervick and Tom Gall, will be creating the perfect acoustic ambience when they perform at the Eden Café on Friday, September 14.

Norwegian born Kaj took to music early. After moving to the UK as a small child, he was offered a place in his step-father’s band at the age of seven. The experience helped him to develop his skills as a singer and pianist and gave him a passion for performing.

As an adult, Kaj progressed from the band and set out as a solo singer songwriter to play a six month residency at London’s renowned 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street.

His music, which has been inspired by the likes of Jack Johnson, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prince, has a mellow sound with surprising twists that keep the audience enthralled.

Tom Gall will also be playing on Friday. Hailing from Falmouth, Tom has performed all over Cornwall with his mix of acoustic guitar and fresh, straight-talking lyrics.

Ashley van Dyck, Eden Café Manager, said: “This week we have got a great night of acoustic music lined up. Local rising star Tom Gall is the perfect person to accompany the beautiful sounds of Kaj Skjervick who was very popular when he last played here.”

Doors open at 7pm, while music starts around 8:30pm and goes until late. Tickets, which are available at the café beforehand, cost £5 or £4 for concessions.

There will be a selection of food served until 9pm, including sharing platters, hot specials and delicious homemade cakes.
