Visitors will be flocking to the Eden Project during half term (February 16-24) to Animate It! with Shaun the Sheep. The week of fun, interactive events celebrates the new series of Shaun’s show, which hits TV screens soon.

At the centre of this ‘ewenique’ event are the hands-on model-making workshops with real Aardman experts and the live Animate It! shows that take place each day to help people master some great animation tricks. Visitors can then head to the animation stations to make their very own Shaun-inspired film.

There will be special trails around the site with activity sheets to complete and the chance to find hidden Shaun the Sheep characters along the way as well as marvellous masks to make.

Eden will also be giving children of all ages the opportunity to take part in Shaun the Sheep’s Pom-Pom Parade - a project to raise awareness and support for HRH The Prince of Wales’ Campaign for Wool. The aim is to set a brand-new woolly record for the largest flock of handmade wool pom-pom sheep that the world has ever seen.

Chris Pritchard, Eden Events Programme Manager, said: “Shaun the Sheep is such a well-loved character and we are delighted to be welcoming him and his team back to Eden. We are really excited about all the activities we’ll be providing for February half-term.”

The Eden ice-rink is open during February half-term complete with a winter wonderland of glittering icy tunnels, stunning light displays and glacial ice walls surrounding the skating arena.

General skating is open every weekday afternoon from 3pm, all day Saturday and from midday on Sunday, with sessions costing £6 per 40-minutes. On Wednesdays, skaters can take advantage of the mid-week saver rate and get 90 minutes on the rink for no extra cost.

A variety of specialist ice sessions are also on offer including parent and toddler ice-play for children under six years old and Chilly Juniors sessions for children aged between 6 and 12. The ice rink will be open until March 3, 2013.
