Live footage of some of the biggest bands in the world playing at the Eden Sessions is to be made available to fans for free.

The exclusive live videos, which were shot at Eden Sessions gigs since 2002, will be released onto a dedicated YouTube channel called Eden Sessions TV at www.youtube.com/EdenSessionsTV.

As well as some of the top acts of the past 11 years, the videos will showcase the Eden Project’s spectacular live music setting and lightshows.

Videos will be released on a monthly basis with the first batch including tracks from Plan B who showcased his groundbreaking Ill Manors record at Eden last year and Jack Johnson, who played a sell-out show at Eden in 2010.

Also featured in the first month will be the 2011 performance of The Flaming Lips, widely regarded as one of the best live acts in the world, and Australian musical comic Tim Minchin who headlined last year.

Tracks from fellow 2012 headliner Frank Turner will also be available, as will a selection from Primal Scream, who brought their legendary Screamadelica Live show to Eden in 2011.

Indie darlings The Horrors will also feature in the first month alongside up-and-coming talent such as Crowns, Liam Frost and a compilation of artists who have played the Biotik stage in Eden’s Mediterranean Biome.

As well as live performances, Eden Sessions TV will also carry features and interviews.

The first month will see Sir Tim Smit, Eden’s Chief Executive, Development, discussing modern urban Britain with Plan B and environmental issues with Jack Johnson. There will also be an interview with Jarvis Cocker, who reflects on his experience of Pulp playing the first ever Eden Session.

More than six hours of footage will be released in the first month, with further videos being released on a monthly basis. To watch them, visit the Eden Project website at www.edensessions.com or go directly to the channel at www.youtube.com/EdenSessionsTV.

Sir Tim said: "In the past 11 years we have witnessed some truly memorable nights at the Eden Sessions. So many wonderful artists have performed to their absolute best inside the greatest live arena in the world.

"I'm proud to be able to launch this new channel which will share the highlights of the Eden Sessions. These shows are our jewels, our Picassos, and now we are letting the whole world into our secret. Some things are so good you have to share them!

"The launch of Eden Sessions TV allows people to see artists they love performing the songs they love in a place they love. In fact, love is all around (as Reg Presley might have said)."

Jack Johnson said: "The Eden Project is one of those rare music venues.  It's a special place where the surroundings are so powerful they become an active part of the show. It's one of the best venues in the world."

Patrick Walker, Senior Director of YouTube Music, Europe, Middle East & Africa, said: “The Eden Sessions have become a hallmark of the British music scene and have hosted some fantastic performances over the past 11 years. Now through their YouTube channel anyone worldwide can access their extensive archive of footage showcasing artists ranging from Pulp to Plan B, and Jack Johnson to Primal Scream.”
