Suranne Jones, star of ITV’s popular detective series Scott and Bailey, took a ride on the Eden Project’s thrilling SkyWire during a recent visit to Cornwall.

The SkyWire is a 660m zip wire which gives visitors to Eden the chance to fly face-first at up to 60mph over the top of the iconic Biomes. It is England’s longest and fastest zip wire.

During her visit, Suranne also took a ground-level tour of Eden, including the Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes.

Suranne said: “Eden is a really great place and the SkyWire is brilliant way to see it, especially when you fly over the Biomes.

“I really love that even in a time led by technology, there is a place like Eden that encourages people to connect with nature. If I ever have children, I’d like to instill them with the values that Eden demonstrates.”

Along with the SkyWire, Eden is bursting with memorable experiences this summer including the chance to see a stunning array of tropical butterflies and explore the canopy of the rainforest up close on the new Rainforest Aerial Walkway.

There are also butterfly-themed activities, den building, family trails and a frenetic game called Be the Bee, where children can assume the role of a bee by making their own costume before taking to the Eden site delivering “pollen” to special plants where they can collect “nectar”.
