Families will have the chance to meet Father Christmas this winter as he and his team of elves and reindeer prepare for the big night at his Cornish base in the Eden Project from November 23.

Visitors will be greeted by elves on arrival where they’ll receive a special letter from Father Christmas with a challenge to help him collect all of the food needed from across the globe to create the magical food that makes the reindeer fly.

After exploring Eden and visiting the reindeer, visitors can then snuggle up inside Father Christmas’s cosy tent and listen to magical fireside stories. Each child will then receive a keepsake to look after until Christmas Eve.

Father Christmas will be at Eden every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 23 until December 23. The experience costs £5 for children and £3 for adults with sessions taking place on the hour from 11am.

Elsewhere on site there will be activities for visitors of every age, as Eden explores the ingredients that make Christmas magical with choirs and live music along with exhibitions, workshops and fun surprises celebrating the generous spirit of the season.

Each Saturday and Sunday the night will end with a twinkling lantern parade through Eden’s outdoor gardens, along with a stunning fire finale. People can not only join in the procession, but for the first time can make their own lanterns in special workshops earlier in the day too.

Eden’s sparkling rink puts the icing on the Christmas cake. General sessions cost £6 for a 40 minute skate and there are a host of special slots to choose from including ice discos, toddler ice play and rookie skate sessions. For full details, go to:

Emma Hogg, Eden Live Programme Producer, said: “This Christmas, Eden will be full of gifts for everyone, from the opportunity to meet Father Christmas and his reindeer, to craft workshops, delicious food, live music and our beautiful ice rink.”
