People from Cornwall and Devon have two more great reasons to visit the Eden Project next week as the Locals’ Pass returns on Monday (4th) and on Thursday (7th), Eden will host the popular Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair for the first time.  What’s more Eden is offering free entry for all visitors on Thursday, meaning that tickets only need to be bought for the fair itself, with all funds raised going directly to help cancer sufferers in Cornwall.

In its new home in the Eden Project Bakery, the 22nd Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair will include an extensive selection of stalls offering an array of original Christmas gift ideas

The fair will also get the season of goodwill off to a great start, with 15 per cent of all stall holder takings given to help Macmillan Cancer Support in Cornwall. £29,000 was raised in 2012 and with the move to Eden, the organisers are hoping to break new records in funds raised.

Each year, the stalls in attendance are varied to guarantee that there is always something new and different to see. With the increased space available at Eden there will be plenty of room for stalls catering to every taste.

Newcomers for this year include recycled sailcloth bags from Canbags, luxury fragrances from Cath Collins, gorgeous locally-produced handmade home accessories from Cream Cornwall and stunning silk scarves from Agapanthus.

In addition, favourite stalls making a return include Cornish potter Paul Jackson, suede and shearling jackets from Rawhide and country clothing and sporting accessories from Tamar Field & Stream.

The Ginsters Food Hall will feature produce such as the famous Carved Angel Christmas Puddings, delicious homemade brownies from The Brownie Baker and smoked fish and meats from the Cornish Smokehouse.

Tickets to the fair cost £12 per person, which goes to Macmillan, and include a light lunch and a glass of wine, as well as the chance to explore Eden’s Biomes and the extensive outdoor gardens. The Eden Project will be offering free entry for all visitors on the day, meaning that tickets only need to be purchased for the fair itself.

Visitors to the Macmillan Christmas Fair can also take advantage of the Locals’ Pass offer, which returns on Monday, November 4 for people in Cornwall and Devon.

The pass, which costs £12 via Direct Debit, gives people the chance to enjoy Eden throughout the seasons for as little as £1 a month in recognition of the support Eden has received since opening in 2001.

The pass also includes free entry to many of the events that take place throughout the year, including wintery lantern parades, den building in the summer and sumptuous Harvest celebrations.

Passes can be purchased online or onsite and must be validated onsite before March 5, 2014 by bringing in a valid proof of address showing residences in Cornwall or Devon. All passes last until October 31, 2014. For full terms and conditions, go to: http://www.edenproject.com/visit-us/tickets-and-tours/locals-pass
