The Blue Bottles set to perform live at the Eden Café
On Friday October 11, the Blue Bottles will be performing live at the Eden Café in St Austell supported by a DJ set by the band's drummer, Mr Lizard.
The Blue Bottles gig promises to be a night full of funk with the crammed with grooves to get people up dancing. They have a great appreciation for the cowbell and describe themselves as purveyors of the finest garage funk sounds.
The band formed in early 2011 and consists of six members, most of whom hail from Calstock deep in Tamar Valley.
Last year, The Blue Bottles, who write their own songs, performed at various festivals including Volksfest, Calstock Festival and Maker Festival. Along with the Eden Café, they will also be performing live in both Plymouth and Falmouth later this year, having already played in Calstock and Liskeard this autumn.
Also, Mr Lizard will be treating the audience to a DJ set combining funk, soul, jazz and reggae for a purely unique concoction of sounds.
Di Armstrong, Eden Café Manager said: "We are really excited to invite the Blue Bottles to play at the Cafe. Their music has such a feel good vibe that makes you want to get up and dance".
Tickets cost £4 if bought in advance, which includes a free first drink, or £5 on the door. The café opens at 7pm and will be serving hot food until 9pm. The café has a fully licensed bar which will be serving until 10pm.
