Eden Project Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Gordon Seabright as its new Director.

At present Gordon is Chief Executive of CTC, the national cycling charity.  Prior to that he was Acting Director General of the Royal Horticultural Society and Commercial Director of English Heritage.

He will be leaving CTC at the end of May to take up his new role with Eden in Cornwall where he will focus on the day-to-day running and development of the project. Gordon has led CTC for two years.  During his time with the organisation he introduced a new strategy, brought serving CTC members to the fore, and worked with governments across the UK to increase support for cycling.  He will bring a wealth of experience in tourism, retail and the charity sector to the Eden Project.

Gordon’s appointment comes after a full recruitment process. He will chair the Eden Project Ltd executive committee which also comprises Finance Director David Harland and Campaigns and Communications Director Peter Stewart.

Judith Donovan CBE, Chair of Eden Project Ltd, said:  “We are delighted to be able to strengthen the existing Eden senior team with the addition of Gordon Seabright.  He joins a committed and dedicated team who have all worked tirelessly to ensure Eden's long-term future.  We are excited about the prospects for the coming year both in Cornwall and further afield."
