The recent hot weather has seen the tulip display in the Eden Project’s Mediterranean Biome bloom spectacularly as it peaks in time for the bank holiday weekend.

The display of 25,000 tulips – the largest ever in the Mediterranean Biome and part of a wider display of around a million bulbs throughout the Eden Project – has fared particularly well thanks to the warmth and bright light.

The weather this spring is in stark contrast to last year, when the UK had its coldest spring for 50 years.

As well as the spectacular colour of the tulips, Eden is also hosting its Chocolate Unwrapped event this bank holiday weekend.

Chocolate Unwrapped gives visitors the opportunity to make their own bespoke chocolate bar and meet a variety of historical characters to learn how important chocolate has been to people over the ages.
