The Eden Project has stormed to victory at this year’s Travel Marketing Awards, winning Gold for the best Integrated Campaign Of The Year for Dinosaurs Unleashed.

The campaign behind Eden’s first-ever dinosaur-themed programme last summer proved massively popular and helped drive more visitors to Eden and Cornwall.

Now in its seventh year, The Travel Marketing Awards has evolved into one of the most credible events in the travel industry calendar, with agencies and travel companies alike eager to win these coveted awards.

Eden’s Marketing Director Rita Broe said: 'We're so thrilled to have won Gold for our Dinosaurs Unleashed campaign. It was the biggest and broadest campaign we've ever run and a brilliant, creative team effort.

“Within Eden, sales, brand, media relations, digital and customer research all played a huge role, dovetailing with our two excellent agencies Gendall Design, who won the award with us, and Bluesoup Communications, who did the creative and media buying.

“We're running an even bigger, better Dinosaur programme at Eden this coming summer - so we'll make sure the marketing campaign is even fiercer and bolder too.”

Tess Gendall, director, Gendall, said: “We are delighted to have won this award with Eden. To win gold against such esteemed and creative campaigns and agencies makes us feel very proud. Cornwall is home to a thriving creative industry and this award helps promote that further.”

Ben Duhig, Bluesoup’s Managing Director, said: “It’s great that the campaign has been recognised in this way. We worked with Eden to deliver a mix of traditional and creative media solutions that engaged both locals and people visiting Cornwall, drawing their attention to what was a brilliant summer programme. This award is a superb reflection of the team’s hard work.”

Eden was up against tough national competition, with third place going to Thomson (TUI UK & Ireland) and second place "When Was The Last Time You Had a First Time?" for Visit York.

The Travel Marketing Awards is the only travel industry event of its kind, recognising marketing excellence in the travel industry. The objective of the awards is to recognise and raise marketing standards across the travel industry. The event is organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Travel Group (CIM Travel Group).

The Travel Marketing Awards took place in the Ballroom of the Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday March 19, 2015. For more information on the awards, see
