The Eden Project will be hosting a relaxing weekend of yoga in the Biomes on April 16 and 17.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of styles and use the event to unwind in Eden’s unique surroundings.

Breathe Health and Fitness from Truro, will be leading hot yoga in the high and humid areas of the lookout and walkway of the Rainforest Biome.

This is a high-energy, uplifting series of classic Hatha Yoga poses in a specific sequence that promotes balance, strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.

The yoga postures coupled with the hot temperatures allow people to stretch deeply, cleanse the body and calm the mind.

In the Mediterranean Biome and the Core building there will be drop-in classes of varied yoga styles, led by yoga teachers including Julia Poole from Oceanlight Yoga.

Visitors are advised to bring their yoga mats along and to wear comfortable clothing. However, there will be mats, blocks, belts and blankets available for those who decide to try it out on the day.

Kate Francis, Eden’s Site Wide Live Programme Producer, said: “We are excited to be having another weekend of yoga.

“There will be a great variety of taster sessions for people to enjoy, as well as hot yoga classes in the Rainforest Biome. We hope that people will come along and try something new in one of our unique environments.”

Breathe Hot Yoga classes need to be booked in advance and cost £15 for the lookout and £12 for the canopy walkway in the Rainforest Biome. They will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis with a capacity of 14 people per class. Booking is through Breathe Hot Yoga’s website:

The drop-in classes will be free for visitors to try on the day and capacity varies per class. Classes will run from 10am – 4pm on both days. For more details please check the Eden Project website,
