London indie superstars Bastille will headline a show at the Eden Sessions on Thursday June 15, 2017.

The four-piece released their second studio album Wild World in September 2016 to critical acclaim and a number one spot in the UK album charts. The record included the singles Good Grief, Send Them Off! and Blame.

Wild World followed Bastille’s acclaimed 2013 debut Bad Blood, which also hit the top of the UK charts and was certified double platinum.

It stayed in the UK top 20 for two years, was the most downloaded album of 2013 and the second most-streamed. The record boasted the single Pompeii, which has now been viewed nearly 390 million times on YouTube, as well as Flaws and Laura Palmer (a reference to David Lynch’s seminal Twin Peaks).

It was reissued in extended form as All This Bad Blood, a record that included Of the Night, the band’s mash-up of The Rhythm of the Night by Corona and Rhythm Is a Dancer by Snap!

Bastille had the honour of becoming the first band ever to play the British Museum when they were invited to perform Pompeii at the opening of the Life & Death Pompeii & Herculaneum exhibition.

Their achievements have been recognised by awards judges, with nominations for four BRIT Awards (they walked away with the coveted British Breakthrough Act gong in 2014), a Grammy nomination, two nominations from the American Music Association awards, and a Teen Choice Award in the US for Best Rock Song.

Rita Broe, Eden’s marketing director, said: “Bastille are one of the biggest and most exciting British bands around right now and we’re very proud to be bringing them to the Eden Sessions this summer. Their sound will brilliantly complement the Eden atmosphere and it’s sure to be a very special night.”

Also on the bill at the Eden Sessions in 2017 is Madness (June 16 – SOLD OUT), Royal Blood (June 22) and Bryan Adams (July 6 – SOLD OUT).

The Eden Sessions enter their sixteenth year in 2017. Last year saw Lionel Richie, Tom Jones, PJ Harvey, Manic Street Preachers and Jess Glynne carry on the great tradition of bringing top UK and international acts to Eden.

The Eden Sessions has its own free-to-view online TV channel ( featuring regularly-updated videos of some of the gigs' finest shows.
