The Eden Project yesterday (Thursday) hosted a visit by more than 30 senior horticulturists from Cornwall's top gardens for the 15th annual Head Gardeners' Day. The group was hosted by Eden's Mike Maunder, Director of Life Sciences, and Paul Stone, Garden Development Manager, alongside other members of the project's horticulture team. The group were given a tour of new additions to Eden, including the beautiful new Western Australia garden in the Mediterranean Biome and the Weather Maker, a new addition to the Rainforest Biome's canopy walkway which features a bridge that makes clouds. The gathering takes place every year at a different Cornish garden and this is the first year the event has taken place at Eden. The annual gathering is designed to forge closer relationships between horticulturists in Cornish gardens and facilitate the sharing of ideas.
