An all-new Father Christmas show featuring mischievous elves, magical storytelling and a chance to meet the man in red awaits visitors to the Eden Project this festive season.

Father Christmas and his team of helpers have set up camp in the Arena and everyone can enjoy their enchanting performance on selected dates.

The merry crew are fully booked from December 21 but there is still time to catch them from December 11 to 15 and 18 to 20.

During the show visitors can hear a tale brimming with Christmas cheer told around a roaring fire before helping the elfin team with final preparations for the big day.

There is Elfalfa who is in charge of wrapping and decorations, Elfizz who organises reindeer logistics, cracker joke-writer Elfie and sock-knitting Elfabettee among the crew.

The new Father Christmas show is one of the main attractions at Eden this December along with the Festival of Light and Sound laser extravaganza featuring live music, magical ice skating and a giant igloo with twinkling snowfall.

There are also festive horticulture displays, craft activities and a chance to see the Rainforest Biome by night.

Marion Harrison, Eden Live Project Lead, said: “This Christmas at Eden is one of our most magical ever with an all-new Father Christmas show featuring our team of cheeky elves who are busy helping him get ready for the big day.

“We’ve also got a new performance of the Festival of Light and Sound in the Mediterranean Biome and an atmospheric Rainforest Biome by night.”

Christmas at Eden is running now and throughout December with different activities available on different days. The Festival of Light and Sound is included in the price of admission but bookings are required to see Father Christmas and for ice skating, with extra charges applying.

Eden works with the Sensory Trust to offer relaxed Father Christmas sessions for children with autistic spectrum condition.
