Half-term havoc at Eden as Dick and Dom descend on da Biomes
TV legends Dick and Dom will be going head to head at the Eden Project in Cornwall this half-term (Saturday May 25 to Saturday June 1) with a madcap show full of family fun.
The multi-BAFTA winning duo have been getting into shape in Eden’s Rainforest Biome with a training routine inspired by famous film boxer Rocky (https://youtu.be/B7enTYXCxpo).
They are now getting ready to stage Dick V Dom in front of the world-famous Biomes. The show takes place on the main stage once a day and is included in the Eden Project admission price.
The show is a unique comedy experience the whole family will never forget. The audience is split in half and the two sides battle it out with interactive games, songs and general hilarity.
On arrival at Eden families will be assigned to their different teams and enjoy a whole host of fun activities and family pranks and dares leading up to Dick and Dom’s appearance on stage.
Emma Evans, Eden’s marketing director, said: “We can’t wait to welcome Dick and Dom to Eden for a half-term full of chaos, fun and, of course, bogies!
“They will bring their trademark brand of anarchic humour to what will surely be one of the most memorable half-term events Eden has ever hosted.”
Dick and Dom – alias Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood - shot to fame as Children’s BBC presenters in the 1990s and then moved on to the award-winning Dick and Dom in da Bungalow, which ran for five highly-acclaimed series.
Dick V Dom is a live 60-minute stage adaptation of Dick and Dom in da Bungalow and has proved hugely popular on tour.
• The Eden Project is closing its doors for one day on Sunday June 2 to encourage people to join in and support The Big Lunch. The Big Lunch, Eden’s biggest outreach programme, is about millions of people getting together to share food, have fun and get to know each other better. Eden closing on June 2 means that the Dick and Dom live show at Eden will finish on Saturday June 1.
