African Lily

Agapanthus africanus

This Agapanthus africanus is a real delight.

When planted in a sunny site the africanus blooms pretty blue flowers from July through to September. It looks it's best when planted in large swathes, so the blue trumpet shaped flowers make a real statement.

It looks good in a container and also withstands coastal exposure. This is a popular flower found in gardens along the whole length of the Cornish coast.
