Bamboo Salad Servers

Salad servers made from bamboo.

Great for adding a splash of colour to the kitchen or a salad these chunky servers are ideal for using indoors or outdoors.

The shape of the handles offers excellent grip and with gently curved ends they’re perfect for serving pasta too.

Design features:

  • Made from the most sustainable material on earth – bamboo
  • Easy grip handle

Each server is made from a single piece of organically grown bamboo, then hand shaped and finished. Bamboo is more durable than wood, is heat & stain resistant and is ideal for non-stick cookware.

Why bamboo?

Bamboo is a wonderful material for food preparation, as it’s naturally sterile. Bamboo actually neutralises bacteria left on the surface after 24 hours, which is perfect when preparing food for high risk groups of people e.g. elderly, babies, convalescing, those with allergies etc.

Bamboo is very sustainable – it can grow a metre a day, meaning that growers have a fast renewing source of materials. It’s so tough and durable that it’s used around the world for scaffolding, building houses and even transport.

Care Instructions

Can be washed in the dishwasher however, as with wooden products, we recommend hand washing to prolong life.

ORGANIC – made from organic bamboo. The producers only use water-based formaldehyde-free adhesives and all products are hand sanded and finished using a food-safe oil produced from vegetable oils and waxes.

FAIRTRADE – bambu is committed to the fair treatment of workers, promoting healthy communities and preserving the environment. The utensils are made in China by a co-operative where the craftspeople are involved in setting the pricing levels.

SUSTAINABLE – miracle plant bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, and is an endlessly renewable resource - growing new shoots from its root system after being harvested. It thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers, takes in greenhouse gasses and produces 35% more oxygen than the equivalent trees.

How your gift is doing good

At the Eden Project we believe plants are important to the future of us and our planet. Through our gardens and Biomes we inspire visitors to reconnect with the natural world around them - and to want to help preserve it. The money you spend in the Eden webshop goes towards our environmental education programmes.

Over 40,000 under-16s from 900 different schools visit our 'living classroom' each year. They get a unique opportunity to delve deep into the rainforest and form the vital connection with their environment that inspires them to want to conserve it.
