Elegia Tectorum

Actually a restio, elegia tectorum is a wonderful structural plant for your garden.

To get the best from your restio, plant in a south or west facing garden. It is an evergreen perennial that will form into a dense clump, with long green gowth streaked with brown. Elegia tectorum is fast growing, and produces brown swathes of small flowers in the autumn.

Elegia tectorum is a fantastic plant for windy spots, and grows well in coastal areas and pots.
