Red Hook Grass

Uncinia uncinata rubra

The Red Hook Sedge is a very striking clump forming perennial with its very deep bronze-red evergreen leaves.

Dark brown flowers add to its attractions in summer. This provides a great contrast when positioned with more subdued grasses.

An added advantage is that it enjoys the shade so is useful in bringing colour to shady areas.
