• Place aluminium foil, shiny side up, into the Fire Bowl to keep it in good condition for longer. Remember to leave ventilation holes at the Damper Plate cleared by piercing the foil at appropriate spots.

• We advise you to use wood charcoal (large irregular pieces) to prepare quickly cooked food and to use briquettes for roasts or meat that take longer and need more heat.

• One 3 KG bag of charcoal should last for at least 2 BBQ sessions, if you use too much it will get to hot and might damage your Fire Bowl.

• If the fire flares up due to dripping fat you should use fine water spray to stop the flames.

• Do not pour water into the Fire Bowl to stop the BBQ process; this will damage your BBQ. Use sand, old cinder or fine water spray.

• Soak the cooking grill and tools into hot soapy water as soon as you are done with the BBQ fun, this will make it very easy to clean.

The Eden Project is an educational charity and social enterprise and when you buy anything from our shop, you're supporting our work and educational programmes.

We’ve been collaborating with the people of Seychelles, who are on the frontline of climate change. We've worked on forest restoration and public education and have even helped fund research into how to safeguard the spectacular native Coco de Mer, which produces the largest seed in the world.
