Asplenium nidus is also known as the “Birds Nest Fern”.
Ferns like this one can be grown in north facing windows perfectly well, as they need to be out of direct sunlight and will truly relish the type of light and cooler temperatures these places receive.
They have naturally glossy wavy leaves arranged in a circular pattern which resemble a bird's nest.
Asplenium nidus is an epiphytic species of fern in the family aspleniaceae, native to tropical south eastern Asia, eastern Australia, Hawaii, Polynesia, Christmas Island, India and eastern Africa.
Keep them moist and out of draughts.
