Calendula is a popular skin healing herb and is known for its gentleness. Calendula’s healing qualities can be beneficial for slow healing wounds, burns, eczema and inflammations on the skin.
Why is beeswax good?
Beeswax is a natural wax which locks in moisture by creating a long-lasting barrier on the lips, protecting them from damaging environmental factors such as the sun, wind and bacteria. It also softens, nourishes and moisturises the lips and helps to heal and prevent dry and cracked lips.
Beeswax also has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It also contains some vitamin A which is necessary for normal cell development.
Why use olive oil?
Olive oil is high in oleic acid and a good skin cell regenerator. It’s also good for moisturising dry skin as well as helping to soothe itching and inflamed skin.
What does sweet almond oil do?
Sweet almond oil is easily absorbed and will nourish the lips, thereby maintaining firmness and elasticity. It is excellent at treating dry, chapped lips by softening skin and replacing lost moisture.
