Product care details

  • Position indoors in a warm, bright location but not in direct sunlight and away from cold draughts.
  • Water once a week from spring to autumn, or more depending on temperatures, keeping the compost moist but not waterlogged. Throughout the winter months, reduce the watering slightly.
  • Feed every 2 weeks from spring to autumn with a balanced liquid feed.
  • If the leaves become dusty, give them a gentle wipe with a damp cloth to ensure enough light can reach the surface of the leaf.
  • Coffee plants enjoy a humid environment so will appreciate having their leaves misted with water.

In 2 to 3 years, this plant should start flowering, which will then turn into your own coffee ‘cherries’. Every 2-3 years, repot in spring. Happy growing!

Sustainability

Sustainability

In 2023 we opened our new state-of-the-art plant nursery. We call it: Growing Point, and it’s a demonstrator of regenerative sustainability and circular systems in both its construction and operation.

Built from light, recyclable materials, it harvests rainwater from the sky and heat from the earth. Growing Point will enable us to produce all the plants for our Biomes and Gardens, retail outlets and for local supply, as well as food for the thousands of visitors that the Eden Project welcomes every year.

      Very healthy plant.

I have been to my uncle’s coffee estate in Chikmangalore, India and have planted a few plants back in my house. The plant that I received was small, healthy and dark lush leaves. Hopefully it will survive the Welsh weather.

      Really Special !

This plant is grown from a coffee bean from the tree at Eden, which itself was grown from a bean 20 odd years ago. This is a really special plant and I feel honoured to have it. Arrived in great condition as the packaging was carefully done. Very very happy with this.

      Lovely big boy

Difference between ones you find in other garden centres is they grow multiple plants all together and they aren't meant to be like that causing difficulties later on. This one was one nice and healthy specimen
