English sparkling wine produced especially for the Eden Project by neighbouring winery Knightor, just one food mile away.
This is a traditionally made sparkling wine with secondary fermentation having taken place in the bottle. It displays elegant fruit flavours, along with subtle complexity, great balance and length.
The wine’s fruity flavour emanates from Seyval Blanc, Reichensteiner, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc & Pinot Noir grapes. These are handpicked from Knightor’s two vineyards situated on the South Coast of Cornwall at Portscatho in the Roseland and Seaton near Looe as well as other English vineyards.
After picking, the grapes are gently whole bunch pressed and fermented in small batches in Knightor’s on-site winery prior to blending. Secondary fermentation and ageing in the bottle results in the creation of this immensely enjoyable, fresh English sparkling wine.
Eden Brut is about pure fun and enjoyment. On the nose it is elegant, with light floral aromas, peach and apple like fruits and subtle lees notes. Despite the dosage being at the brut level, it also has plenty of fruit flavour which along with its vibrant and fresh mousse makes for a fuller more jovial style.
Enjoy it chilled whilst you toast a birthday celebration, a wedding speech or just when you fancy something bubbly!
We chose to work with Knightor because their philosophy is similar to ours. Like Eden, Knightor is committed to reducing their environmental impact, operating sustainably and supporting other local Cornish businesses.
Solar voltaic panels and the sourcing of produce for the restaurant from local suppliers are examples of Knightor’s responsible approach to minimizing their impact on the environment and supporting the Cornish economy.
The labels for our Eden Brut sparkling wine were printed and hand embossed at Nationwide Print, based a few miles away in Holmbush.
