We’re delighted to welcome the Woodfired Canteen team to the Eden Project to host a memorable feast experience in our Mediterranean Biome.

They’ll be laying their distinctive long table in the Citrus Grove on 25 August, and inviting a limited number of guests to join them for a delicious Mediterranean-inspired three-course meal.

A unique food experience

The balmy Mediterranean Biome is a beautiful setting for a unique evening feast experience amidst olive groves, lemon trees and grapevines, with the sweet sound of birdsong in the background.

As part of your experience you’ll be able to arrive at the Eden Project from 4pm, so that you can enjoy exploring our Biomes and spacious Outdoor Gardens before you join us to eat in the Med Biome.

The evening will begin with nibbles and drinks served around the Biome, before you sit down to enjoy your three-course meal at their trademark long table. After a laid-back and delicious feast shared with friends and family, you’ll be able to wind your way up out of the Biome and home, with a belly full of good food and a head full of special memories.

Woodfired Canteen will be preparing a fabulous feast right here in the Mediterranean Biome, serving up generous dishes for you to share within your ‘bubble’.*

On arrival:

Sweet potato butter, drunk raisins and pickled chillies with flat breads

Smoked mushrooms with green herb salt, our soft cheese and beetroot salsa on flat breads

Whole smoked Cornish cauliflower, dressed with Canteen shawarma and tahini, pomegranate and seeds

Summer tabbouleh with jammy tomatoes, grilled peppers and roasted onions. Basil and mint dressing

Roast carrot and feta with sumac and pink onions

Wild honey and toasted almond pavlova with raw coffee and flat peaches

Drinks will be available for you to purchase on the night from the Mediterranean Bar (table service, with card payment – as we are operating a cashless site).

The chefs will be able to adjust the dishes to suit dietary requirements such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and nut-free; please indicate this when booking.

About Woodfired Canteen

Ben Quinn and his team founded Woodfired Canteen, based in St Agnes, Cornwall, with a purpose to be ‘good people cooking good food’. Many of their dishes, cooked with wood fire, take inspiration from the Mediterranean – from ‘Italian grandmothers’, says Ben.

Highlights of the last year include headlining Wilderness Festival, being the named chef for the Outstanding in the Field Tour, and doing pop-up events with their trademark long table on Cornish clifftops. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, the team turned their efforts to feeding the NHS and managed to feed over 25,000 front line workers in 10 weeks; the true essence of good people, good food!

Keeping you safe

*While Woodfired Canteen is keen for you to enjoy that feeling of a collective feast night, the long table will be carefully laid to ensure safe spacing between each ‘bubble’, and food will only be shared within these bubbles. Drinks will be ordered at the table.
