Due to current heavy snowfall the Eden Project closes at 2pm today (18 March), rather than the usual 4pm. This is for the safety of visitors and staff in case paths and roads become hazardous.

Willow is an incredibly versatile, cheap, and fast-growing material. Here we've used it to make tunnels and teepees around a sandpit. The area also features timber perches, a throne and musical instruments. This enclosed space is the perfect, and safe, place for little kids to let off steam.

Did you know?

Children today spend, on average, just 9% of their time outside; a lot less than previous generations. We’ve created inspirational spaces for kids here at Eden because we know that outdoor play can improve cognitive skills, health, imagination and self-esteem; all essential ingredients for a happy and successful young person.

We offer training for teachers and ideas for parents to help kids reconnect with their environment.
