The Eden Geothermal Project was launched last October after a 10-year development programme. It will harness the heat from the granite beneath the Eden site, using it to heat the Biomes, greenhouses and offices, and to create clean, renewable energy which is available 24/7. The aim is for Eden to be carbon-neutral by the end of 2023.

About the event

  • Throughout the day there will be a small exhibition in the Eden Gallery (located in the Visitor Centre). This will remain in the Gallery until Sunday 19 April during Eden opening hours.
  • At 6pm there will be a short presentation followed by a chance to meet the geothermal team.
  • Light refreshments will be provided.
  • You won’t need an Eden entry ticket to attend the event or view the exhibition.
