Stunning digital installation
Explore the extraordinary invisible life in the world’s oceans, in a stunning new visual and audio installation. OCEAN: PLANKTON CHRONICLES by Christian Sardet & The Macronauts features beautiful photography and footage of plankton, the weird and wonderful creatures that are vital to our life support system, all set to a mesmerising soundscape.
Come face to face with creatures of the deep, including whales, dolphins, turtles and basking shark. In these engaging, educational workshops featuring incredible life-sized inflatable models, children will learn how we can all make a difference for marine wildlife.
Operation Ocean show
A madcap show with a salty twist, from the Eden Storytellers.
Join us in our state-of-the-art Lab to get to know plankton close-up, and to catch demonstrations and talks by the creators of our Ocean exhibition, Christian and Noé Sardet, and by marine biologists from Plymouth Marine Lab and the Marine Biological Association.
See the haunting ‘Ghost net Dress’ on display, a powerful and provocative outfit made from discarded Cornish fishing nets.
Create your own piece of sea-themed craft to take home, including plankton mandalas, with help from our team.
