Launch weekend

February 2019 sees the opening of a new permanent exhibit which explores the beauty and diversity of invisible ocean life through stunning imagery, film and soundscape.

Come along on 2 and 3 February for a special launch weekend, where you can explore the new exhibition and get involved in a whole host of marine-themed activities which reveal the extraordinary invisible life in the world’s oceans.

Stunning digital installation

Explore the extraordinary invisible life in the world’s oceans, in a stunning new visual and audio installation. OCEAN: PLANKTON CHRONICLES by Christian Sardet & The Macronauts features beautiful photography and footage of plankton, the weird and wonderful creatures that are vital to our life support system, all set to a mesmerising soundscape.

Whale workshops

Come face to face with creatures of the deep, including whales, dolphins, turtles and basking shark. In these engaging, educational workshops featuring incredible life-sized inflatable models, children will learn how we can all make a difference for marine wildlife.
