Terms and conditions

Admission to the Eden Project

The booking of a Wild Birthday does not include entrance to the Eden Project itself, so if you would like to visit our gardens and Biomes as well as take part in the party in our outer estate, please ensure you purchase Eden Project admission tickets or that you hold Eden Project Membership, an Annual Pass or a Locals' Pass.

Bookings and payment

All prices are correct at the time of printing and include VAT.

After confirming your party date, time and activities with you we will invoice you ahead of the event.

Your payment will be non-refundable (except in the event of cancellation due to bad weather – see below).

Cancellation rights and refunds

Parties will be cancelled (or relocated if possible) when weather warnings are issued for winds above 35 mph and/or heavy rain in the area.

In this instance we will make every effort to run the party at an alternative venue on site, or we can reschedule your party to a date that is possible both for the customer and the Eden Project.

If the party has to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, you are entitled to a full refund. (It is rare that we have to cancel a party.)

Eden will inform parents of any change or cancellation of a party but cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel or accommodation.

Should you wish to change the date of your event, it will be at the discretion of the Schools Team manager.

If you wish to cancel the event; notice must be given one full week before the party.

Any refund will usually be paid using the same method you used to buy the tickets, within 30 days of the original date of the party or the date that we receive your payment, whichever is later.

No refunds will be offered under any circumstances if you fail to comply with these terms and conditions.

By paying for your booking you will be acknowledging and accepting these terms and conditions.

The Eden Project aims to make its site as accessible as possible and is working to maximise access for all. However, please note that at the outdoor party venue there is no hard standing, pathways or accessible toilet.

The sessions are available to children age six to twelve.

The group cannot be any larger than 16 children and three adults.

At least one accompanying adult must attend. As the party organiser you are asked to remain with the group throughout the event while our staff run the sessions and the children's activities. The parties are not a childcare facility and we will not take responsibility in loco parentis.

We advise you to arrive at Cherry Car Park, near Eden’s North Gate entrance, at least 20 minutes before the start of the party to allow for a prompt start.

Directions will be included in the information pack which you receive before the event.

As the party organiser you are the legal guardian acting in loco parentis (i.e. in place of the parent) and are asked to remain with the group throughout the event as you are responsible for the children attending.

Our staff will run the sessions and the children's activities, but the parties are not a childcare facility and we will not take legal responsibility for children.

It is the organising parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to inform us of any important medical or behavioural issues or any food issues that might affect a child’s enjoyment and/or safety at the party at least one week before the event.

Children and adults must arrive suitably dressed for the prevailing weather.

If a child behaves in a way that impairs the experience of others, or creates a danger to themselves or others, the Eden Project reserves the right to exclude them from the party and will ask the organising parent or guardian to arrange for them to be collected.

Children must attend suitably dressed for the weather conditions, including closed-toe footwear with a good grip and we recommend long trousers all year round. All children should bring waterproofs, a hat, sun cream and insect repellent. We have the right to refuse access to activities for which children are unsuitably dressed.

The party includes snacks as part of the story, but not a birthday tea.

The guest must comply with all Eden Project Health & Safety regulations and Safeguarding policies which are available on request.

Damage/insurance cover

The client (i.e. organising parent) will be responsible for any loss or damage to Eden property which is attributed to a member or members of the party.

Professional photographers must contact the Media Department for permission to photograph/film on the premises.

The Media Department at Eden must be notified of any parties likely to have press or media involvement.

When you make your booking we will pass your contact details on to our host, who will get in touch with you directly and ensure that all record keeping is in accordance with the Eden Project's privacy policy
