Chef de Partie
£8.70 per hour until 4th September. £8.10 per hour outside of these dates
If you have a passion for food, a commitment to the development of staff and have experience in a role of a similar level then this is the job for you!
You will be experienced at this level, creativity is a must; as is the ability to work individually, be organised and lead by example. Duties will include preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes as well as overseeing, coaching and training junior staff to deliver at the same level.
Permanent, 20hr Annualised Contract
£7.30 per hour for ages 21 and over, £6.54 for ages 18-20 and £5.85 for age 16-17
Our ideal candidates will have a passion for food, enthusiasm to learn and the ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment. Duties will include preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes in numerous venues around site.

Logistics Services Operative
30 hours per week
£7.20 per hour for ages 21 and over, £6.44 for ages 18-20
The Eden project is a unique visitor attraction and this is a unique role to fill.
We are looking for people to deal with a variety of different tasks across the whole site both in public areas and behind the scenes.
This will in the main include cleaning of toilets, offices, and associated areas across all of the Eden Project with use of Professional cleaning equipment.
In addition you will be required at times to assist at the recycling plant based at Eden and thus an understanding of recycling streams would be useful.
You need to be enthusiastic and prove a good level of flexibility as the role will also require driving hence a full driving licence is essential and other tasks at Eden as required offering a service to other site staff.
Knowledge of Health and Safety would also be an advantage however all training for the role would be given as required.

Media Relations Officer

An opportunity has arisen within The Eden Media Relations team for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join this small team.
You will be a confident self-starter with experience in a similar role and you will be looking for a new challenge.
You will assist in devising high-quality media relations to generate awareness and interest in our audience. This role will be demanding and challenging but also exciting and very rewarding. You will deal with local, regional, national and international television, newspapers and radio.

As an educational charity that seeks to connect people with each other and the living world, it is vital that our team members understand this mission and the ethos that underpins it. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Training Officer to help ensure our mission and ethos runs through all of the training programmes we deliver for our team members, as well as equipping them with the skills to be able to deliver it.
The role will support our Learning & Development Specialist in delivering our expanding training programme, which will involve developing and delivering a diverse range of training workshops for our team of over 350 core and 150 seasonal team members, and 170 volunteers. On one day you may be delivering compliance based courses such as health and safety or equality and diversity, and the next you may be helping to deliver our Welcome Week programme to new team members, or running skills development workshops to develop assertiveness or public speaking skills.
Eden is known for its fun, optimistic and celebratory teaching style and we are looking for someone who is creative in finding imaginative, experiential ways to deliver learning experiences that educate, inspire and motivate people, using our site as the classroom wherever possible. You must be a reflective practitioner who can contribute to the continuous improvement of our training programmes by collecting and analysing feedback data and using this to ensure they are effective and create a lasting positive impact.
This is a part time, three day per week (24 hours) role and the time will be split between training, time in the office to develop programmes and prepare training materials, and being out and about on site promoting our training programmes to staff, managers and volunteers. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in training delivery, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with audiences at all levels whilst promoting our training programmes.

Specialist (Social and Therapeutic) Horticulturist
Fixed term contract until September 2017
8 hours per week
£8.24 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Horticulturist to develop a growing space within an agreed area of Eden’s estate, to establish a pilot social prescribing programme. The successful candidate will plan and deliver an agreed social and therapeutic horticulture scheme and an annual programme of activities for a specialist group of participants.
You should have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Horticulture and you should be able to attend a Thrive Social and Therapeutic Horticulture course which we will be running for our staff at Eden in September. An accredited mental health qualification is desirable.
