Our Admissions team have a number of vacancies for seasonal staff to join them for the Easter Holiday. These will be fixed term positions initially until 16/04/17 and will be on Min/Max 10-30 hour per week contracts.

We know at Eden that first impressions count and our Admissions team are our first port of call for visitors.

We are looking to recruit members for the team who have a passion for Eden and can consistently deliver a warm engaging welcome suitable for our world class destination, whilst focusing on the sales of Admission tickets, Gift Aid and the Eden Guide.

Executive Assistant to Co-founder, Eden Project

Full time permanent position

We are searching for a very experienced Executive Assistant for this exciting and challenging role.

You will have at least 5 years’ experience at a senior Director / Board level, ideally with charity and/or start-up background.

A confident communicator and problem solver; someone who has the ability to take decisions and act on their own initiative, whilst being part of a close-knit team.

From complex diary management – juggling many, often conflicting priorities, both business and personal, to planning extensive and detailed international travel itineraries; you will need to be assertive, able to come up with creative solutions and have excellent attention to detail.

You will need to have flexibility and adaptability at your core to deal with the constantly changing demands this rewarding role will bring.

You will engage with our visitors whist making them drinks, serving them food, or cleaning their tables, demonstrating your product knowledge by advising and making suggestions.

Security and Safety Operative

Night shifts

We have a vacancy in our Security and Safety team, who are responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our world renowned visitor destination 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

This is a permanent night shift position, the main duties include the locking and unlocking of all buildings across the site as required, security patrols, monitoring of all alarms systems site, responding to and providing support for emergencies. You will also play a key role in ensuring that the site is safe at all times for visitors and colleagues

We are a busy place, outside of our opening hours as well as during them; you will often be the first point contact for people before we open to our visitors each day so will need to acquire a wide knowledge of the business. 

Our ideal candidate will need to be flexible, willing to work unsociable hours and have excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be committed to working as part of a team and keen to be involved Eden’s mission.

Events Sous Chef

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic sous chef to join the Eden Project events team. Eden is one of Cornwall’s most renowned event venues and hosts a wide range of events from weddings; corporate events; parties to residential team building camps, catering from 5 people to 500 people, this role offers the successful candidate plenty of variety.

As part of the role you will be tasked with creating bespoke menus based on client briefs and adhering to budgets and margins; preparing and delivering dishes in the iconic Eden Project biomes, which taste and presentation match the venue.

During quieter times on events you will also be required to work in other venues on site, including our Mediterranean restaurant and the Eden Kitchen.

The successful candidate will be creative and passionate about food, a solution finder and a natural team leader, who has the drive and desire to excel in this role. Experience of events and functions would be beneficial but not mandatory.
