The Eden Project has launched an ambitious digital campaign aimed at inspiring audiences worldwide to become part of nature, not apart from it.

A new film presenting a blueprint for a better future and a wide-ranging podcast series have been produced and launched.

The film and podcasts can be found on a transformed version of Eden’s unique flagship YouTube channel.

Through the platform, Eden will share inspiring, informative, and entertaining films, videos, podcasts, livestreams, and more.

All content is designed to empower the audience with the knowledge, confidence, and agency to make a positive difference in their everyday lives.

The new broadcasts demonstrate the awesome scale, importance and beauty of nature, as well as highlighting exciting community and science projects.

Content ranges from accessible household and gardening tips and everyday ideas for positive climate solutions to deep-dive pieces covering the science behind the planetary emergency.

Sarah Peake, Eden’s Content Curation Manager, who fronts the new Climate Change Solutions film as part of the launch, said: “At Eden we reconnect people with plants and the natural world through everything we do. Showcasing, sharing and championing empowering media through our YouTube channel is just one step in this intricate and never-ending project.

“We’re incredibly excited to share new content with a global audience and there is so much more to come.”

The film sees Sarah discover the many ways humans can help stabilise the planet's climate, through ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and green technology.

Viewers will learn how natural ecosystems can absorb carbon dioxide and how we can protect and restore them, produce food sustainably, and grow marine forests.

The film also explores the importance of renewable energy and recycling to reduce the demand for new resources and gives insights on how each of us can make a difference on a personal level and contribute to the collective effort to mitigate climate change.

Elsewhere, three new podcast episodes entitled Conversations in the Canopy sees Tod Coleman, part of Eden’s Explainers team, in conversations with experts knee-deep in connecting people with the natural world, including scientists, storytellers and psychologists.

In the first episode, listeners will go on a breathtaking whistle-stop tour of the evolution of life on Earth with the Eden Project's Chief Science Engagement Officer, Dr Jo Elworthy, as she explains why we owe our lives to tiny blue bacteria.

Episode two sees Tod visit London-based psychologist Dr Georgina Gould, where he hears about scientific evidence that shows how a daily dose of nature can improve our mental health and wellbeing.

For episode three, Tod takes a trek through the rich audio environment of Eden’s Rainforest Biome with Alex Smalley, a PhD Fellow at the University of Exeter and the Wellcome Trust, to find out how natural sounds can help people to boost their wellbeing and reduce fatigue and stress.

Alongside these debuting pieces of content, the new version of Eden’s YouTube channel features over 40 revamped videos and more than 25 pieces of content previously unavailable on YouTube.

Eden’s unique content is based in science, from the heart, for the people. More new content is set to be announced and unveiled in the near future.
