The Eden Project proudly announces today that global icon Diana Ross will be performing as part of the Eden Sessions series of concerts taking place next year.

The superstar will play at the home of the famous Biomes on June 21, 2022. Diana had been one of the artists due to play the Sessions this summer (2021) but due to the uncertainties around the impacts of the pandemic the show was postponed.

Rita Broe, Managing Director of Eden Sessions Ltd, said today: “We are thrilled to confirm Diana Ross for the Eden Sessions in 2022. Being able to welcome a global icon of Diana’s stature to Eden is a massive honour for us.

“We are sure this hugely-anticipated concert will one of the most magical and memorable we have ever had the privilege to stage.”

Original tickets remain valid for the Diana Ross Eden Session. Remaining tickets cost £90 plus £9 booking fee and are now on sale on www.edensessions.com.

The news of Diana’s appearance at Eden follows hot on the heels of her new album Thank You, released to critical acclaim on November 5. It is her first album of original material in 22 years, and her first album of any kind since 2006.

Recorded in her home studio, Thank You offers a powerful, inclusive musical message of love and togetherness.

Diana co-wrote and collaborated on the 13 songs along with award-winning songwriters and producers including Jack Antonoff, Troy Miller, Triangle Park, Spike Stent, Prince Charlez, Amy Wadge, Neff-U, Freddie Wexler, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, Fred White, and Nathanial Ledgewick.

Diana is one of the most successful recording artists and entertainers of all time. From her landmark solo career to the early days as the leader of The Supremes, the superstar singer has helped shape the sound of popular music.

She has an astounding career total of 70 hit singles, including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out, Stop! In The Name of Love, Upside Down, I’m Still Waiting and Chain Reaction.

Her portrayal of Billie Holiday in the classic film Lady Sings the Blues resulted in an Oscar nomination and a trophy at the The Golden Globe Awards.

Diana’s international achievements were acknowledged by the prestigious Kennedy Center Honours in Washington DC (2007), celebrating her illustrious career of excellence in music, film, television and theatre, as well as her cultural influences, humanitarian work and her contributions to American culture.

The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences celebrated her remarkable career with its highest honour, The GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. In 2016, Diana received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the most prestigious civilian award given to a U.S. citizen.

Already confirmed are three other rescheduled shows for the 2022 Eden Sessions. My Chemical Romance will take the stage on May 17, 2022 (sold out), Lionel Richie will play on June 14, 2022 (sold out), and Bryan Adams will perform on June 29, 2022 (sold out).

Eden held a successful series of Sessions this September (2021) with Ben Howard, McFly, Royal Blood, Snow Patrol, The Script, and IDLES playing memorable concerts in front of the Biomes.
