Inspiring communities

We're working with neighbourhoods nationwide to strengthen people's connections with each other.

We're inviting people to join in annual celebrations on their street, to grow and share food, or to put their heads together to envision the type of future they'd like to help create.

We believe that the contribution of many different people's talents and skills coming together can help us transform our societies for the better.

  • Encouraging community spirit

Millions of neighbours join together nationwide every year to do The Big Lunch, an annual tradition kick-started by Eden to create stronger communities and connect people.

  • Growing together

Families are learning to plant, grow, cook, share and eat together through our Seeds, Soup and Sarnies project that's running in Cornwall and Middlesbrough.

  • Creative community planning

We're taking Eden's inspiring public engagement techniques beyond our visitor attraction out into the local neighbourhoods, to shape community planning events.

  • Inviting Cornwall in

Our annual winter festival celebrations and Locals' Annual Pass season are some examples of how we share Eden with the local community.

  • Rebuilding neighbourhoods

In Kosovo we helped create a 'peace park' for remembrance, relaxation and play on the edge of a town that experienced ethnic cleansing during the civil war.
