Ox-eye daisy ‘Margherita Gigante’ – Chrysanthemum leucanthenmum L.

This classic tall white daisy is found throughout Europe and western Asia, and is one of summer’s real delights.

It is a very versatile garden plant. Grow it in sunny borders, in lawns, under trees, or mixed with other wild flowers, such as field poppies, for a natural meadow look.

The large flowers and good stems make it ideal as a cut flower and for adding to bouquets.

Sowing

Short-lived perennial. Sow seeds in trays of seed compost under cover from March to May. Transplant (prick out) into small pots when big enough to handle.

Plant outside in late spring and throughout summer into well-drained soil.
