Walking the talk
With up to one million visitors coming to Eden Cornwall each year and around two million plants to look after, it's essential that we operate in as sustainable a way as possible.
It’s a great opportunity to explore new ideas at all scales and share what we discover, as we develop new Edens around the globe.
How we do things at Eden
We're pioneering geothermal energy at our site in Cornwall.
We use our fleet of Volvo XC40 Recharge pure electric vehicles, provided by our partners at Volvo, to get around the site.
Food waste is turned into compost.
We use harvested rain water to flush our toilets onsite.
We turn food waste from our cafés into fertiliser.
We encourage visitors to bring their own reusable cups and bottles to fill up at drinking fountains around the gardens.
