Eden Project Biomes

About us

We're an educational charity on a mission to reconnect people with the natural world. Our home is in an exhausted clay pit in Cornwall, once a great scar on the landscape, now quite possibly the most extraordinary garden created this century.

The plants aren't just for decoration. They're here to tell stories about where our food, medicine and materials come from, about how the living world works, and about how we might live better as a part of it, not apart from it. What began as conversations over a pint has grown into a charity working across the UK and around the world, creating new Edens, teaching, and helping nature recover.

Everything comes back to one belief. When people reconnect with nature, they're moved to look after it, and small actions add up to real change. We've been proving it in Cornwall since 2001, unearthing wonder in a place most people had written off. And we're only just getting started.

Quote

Cornwall was never the destination – it was the proof. Every Eden, anywhere, is the same idea: people, plants, place, in service of the planet.

We can't do this alone. We work with organisations who share our belief that business can be a force for good, and whose support helps our projects reach further, into communities and through conservation work across the UK and around the world.
