Easter at Eden is full of family fun and the scents and colours of spring

Visitors to the Eden Project this Easter can expect a packed programme of games, crafts and activities to get everyone exploring Eden’s great outdoors and Biomes.

Taking place from April 1-16, Easter at Eden invites everyone to celebrate the joys of spring, take on playful family-friendly challenges and discover how together we can grow and eat our way to a healthier planet.

As part of the activities, visitors can try their hand at a round of adventure golf by putting their way around a special course styled as an allotment.

Meanwhile, a giant Guess What game will set families the task of guessing the crop whilst the Bread Maze provides the chance to scoot around a straw bale course, collecting and learning about ingredients required to make bread.

Elsewhere, a giant slingshot will help tell the story of pollen and there will be more fun to be had with a game of hoopla.

In addition, visitors can take part in a scavenger hunt to find the wildlife workforce that helps growers produce the healthiest crops and keep them in tip-top condition.

Completing the games will be cork-a-cow, a fun activity for children and an introduction to the narrative of how food choices relate to our carbon footprints.  It invites participants to help cork the cow to prevent methane escaping…from both ends.

There will also be the chance to get creative in a craft workshop by making take-away games of Tic-Tac-Toe. Workshops will run daily from 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. There is an additional charge of £1 per person to attend the workshops and availability is limited, so those wishing to take part must book their space in advance.

Anyone who successfully completes four of the Easter activities can make their way to the pick’n’mix station to claim a reward.

Eden will also be offering relaxed sessions at 8.30am each Sunday during the Easter programme. The sessions allow those who may benefit from a more informal experience, such as those with autism and sensory or communication needs, to enjoy the activities at their own pace. Slots for relaxed sessions can be booked online.

Tamsyn Lewis, Eden Live’s Production Manager, said: “April is such a special time for our visitors to explore all that Eden has to offer as the whole site comes alive with all the scents and colours of Spring.

“Our Easter at Eden programme will not only help celebrate the season but will also provide bags of fun and entertaining activities that all the family can enjoy together. We are sure those visiting us this Easter will be in for a wonderful time.”
