With a vast indoor rainforest, a lush and varied selection of outdoor gardens and beautiful planting from the temperate regions of the world in our Mediterranean Biome, the Eden Project is a world-class filming destination with locations and facilities for all levels of production.

The long-running Eden Sessions series of concerts has established Eden as a renowned music venue. Among the concerts filmed here was Sir Elton John’s 2015 Session, a big hit through BBC iPlayer.

Top recording artist George Ezra chose the Rainforest Biome as a location for the video for his song Barcelona.

What we can offer you

  • 1.5 hectares of indoor rainforest with the added advantages of power and aerial platforms. The indoor setting means your production won’t be affected by the outside weather.
  • Over 20 acres of varied outdoor gardens featuring over 3,000 varieties of plants.
  • An indoor Mediterranean setting offering a beautiful selection of planting from the temperate regions of the world.
  • Good vehicle access and plenty of parking.
  • Arrangements can be made for out-of-hours shoots and for aerial filming and photography (including drone use).
  • The fastest zip wire in England, which flies over both of the Biomes. Cameras can be used on the zip wire, provided they are securely attached.
  • On all shoots, a member or members of the Eden team will accompany you to help ensure everything goes smoothly.

Flying a drone at Eden

Drone flying at Eden must take place outside of our opening hours and is strictly prohibited unless pre-approved.

We only accept requests to fly from pilots working on behalf of a recognised media outlet.

In order to request approval to fly a drone at Eden, you will need to supply proof of CAA Certification,  Drone Insurance and a Liability Insurance Certificate. You will also need to provide a Risk Assessment and a Flight Plan.

Requests to fly a drone should be submitted with as much notice as possible and we cannot guarantee your request will be accepted.

If approved, pilots are required to fill in a Permission to Fly Form before the date of flight which will be supplied by the Eden team.

As Eden is an educational charity, we always ask for a location fee. This is negotiable - we will ask you to make us a reasonable offer.
