We’ll be carrying out planned website maintenance on Tuesday 29 September from 4pm, so the website may be temporarily unavailable during this time.
Connections through Photography is an eight-week course for adults, helping you to notice nature, connect with others and learn techniques for better images – unlocking the potential for nature connection from your phone.
This course is part of the Nature Connections programme, developed to help improve health and wellbeing through nature-based group activities at the Eden Project. It is offered free of charge to adults who could benefit, thanks to funding from the Pears Foundation. Booking is essential – please email natureconnections@edenproject.com or call 01726 818550.
I left feeling relaxed and positive and having learnt something new.
Suitable for complete beginners, the course will cover techniques like composition, colour and exposure. Short practices will give you the opportunity to explore, choose what to photograph and incorporate new techniques in your images. Group sessions enable you to spend time with others and share what you notice in Eden Project's iconic gardens. Bring along your phone, camera or tablet to take images. A friendly facilitator will give you activities to try and share their knowledge.
It was so much fun. I learnt a lot and wished it could be longer.
Sessions will run between 2- 3.30pm on the following Thursdays:
3 December
Booking is essential. Please email natureconnections@edenproject.com or call 01726 818550. We’ll send you an application form to complete and further details about the session. We can help you complete the form over the phone. Do let us know about any additional needs, including allergies, so we can give you the best possible experience.
Please wear shoes that are suitable for walking, and dress appropriately for the weather, as you will be both outside and in the Biomes. Temperatures can vary a lot – the Rainforest Biome can be hot and humid and the Mediterranean can be hot on a sunny day but cold if it’s grey. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water, sun protection and a waterproof coat on rainy days. You’ll also need your camera phone or another device to take pictures.
We’ll meet you near the Core Café for the first session. We’ll send further details when you book. We’ll explore Eden Project's Biomes and Outdoor Gardens and, sometimes, the Outer Estate.
From therapeutic gardening to walking groups and early years activities, we offer a whole programme of opportunities designed to connect you with nature and other people, as well as improve your health and wellbeing.
