Play spaces for kids

We’ve created inspirational spaces for kids here at Eden because we know that outdoor play can improve health, imagination, cognitive skills and self-esteem – all essential ingredients for a happy and successful young person.

Nature's Playground

We’ve just unveiled our spectacular new natural outdoor adventure play area, brimming with imaginative, sensory play.

Entry to Nature’s Playground is included in Eden admission, but to manage capacity, free pre-booking to the Playground is required for children (aged 16 and under) during the summer holidays until 3 Sep.

Please be aware that water play is a key sensory element of the playground, so we recommend that you come prepared for your child(ren) to get wet.

Minibeast Mansion play tower

Kids get the chance to crawl into their own giant ‘bug hotel’ in our Minibeast Mansion play tower. Under-10s can clamber, creep, and slide through the hexagonal wooden structure and explore its intricate compartments. It’s designed to help children enjoy ‘wild play’, as well as introduce little ones to the subject of pollination.

Spiral Garden

This sensory garden behind our Core building is perfect for exploring with children. It has all kinds of inspirational ideas for making a low-cost school or community garden in a small space on the north side of a building: willow spirals, rainbows of flowers, soft paths, and plants that are textured, spooky or scented.

Mating Snakes Path

These tunnels created out of bent willow shoots, which interweave like snakes, are a favourite with people of all ages. They’re a great way to get a different perspective of Eden.
