Sarah joined the Board of Eden in April 2026 and is currently Pro Vice Chancellor Engagement at Lancaster University, where her portfolio includes all aspects of Engagement which leads to knowledge transfer and transformational impact, including the Knowledge Exchange Framework. Sarah leads a number of strategic initiatives including the flagship initiative, Data Cyber Quarter and has been a member of Eden Project Morecambe’s Strategic Partnership and Programme Board for six years.

More about Sarah

Sarah graduated from Kings College London in Microbiology, later awarded an MBA and built a career which is fluid across both public and private sectors having worked on a global platform for Amersham International, Fison Instruments, Hays Commercial Services and more recently, as a Director for a Regional Development Agency, Executive Director in local government, Chief Operating Officer for The Manufacturing Institute and as Chief Executive of Lancashire’s Local Enterprise Partnership. Sarah’s experience in the public sector stretches across regional growth strategy and capital investment, economic development and regeneration, skills and education, research and innovation and commercial enterprise.

Sarah is also a Trustee of Medcare, a UK charity which provides medical services and rehabilitation to children in Uganda, is Chair of the Lancaster University Chaplaincy Centre Trust, a Governor of University Hospitals Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and a Non-executive Director for Lancashire and Cumbria’s Institute of Technology.
