A rare and endangered palm in the Eden Project’s Rainforest Biome has produced its first mature leaf - believed to be the largest of its kind in the UK.

The Eden Project team are inviting the people of Stobswell and the surrounding areas to come together for a day of fun activities showcasing the community’s strength of spirit, creativity and commitment to environmental care.

This autumn, September 6, 2025, the Eden Project’s National Wildflower Centre (NWC) turns 25. To celebrate, it has launched a UK-wide wildflower photography competition in partnership with the Canary Wharf Group with cash prizes of up to £1,500.
