Practical information about Locals' Passes
Visiting with your Locals' Pass
All visitors to Eden must pre-book a time slot in advance of each visit, including Locals' Passholders. We simply ask that you book a time slot online.
If you've lost your Pass, to help us get visitors safely and efficiently into the Eden Project during their allotted time slot, we would advise you to contact our Box Office about this in advance, so that we can help ahead of your visit (firstname.lastname@example.org; 01726 811972 daily 9am-12).
Please note that if you hold a 2019/20 Locals' Pass, your Pass will now expire on 30 November (rather than 31 October). Please read our FAQ on this topic below.
Extension on current Locals’ Passes
On top of offering free entry to a family guest when we first reopened (June 2020), as an additional thank you to Locals’ Passholders for their patience and continued support during our temporary closure we are extending 2019/2020 Locals' Passes.
Rather than expiring on 31 October, these will be valid until the end of November 2020, giving Passholders an extra month to enjoy the Eden Project using their existing Pass.
We are contacting Locals' Passholders directly about this.
Purchasing a new Locals’ Pass
Locals’ Passes will be available to buy online or on the phone during a limited period in the winter months, for year-round entry, from 1 December 2020 until March 2021.
The 2020/21 Locals’ Pass will be valid from 1 December 2020 until 30 November 2021.
Existing Passholders who pay by Direct Debit should read our FAQ below specifically on the dates and process.
Direct Debit renewals
If you renew your Locals' Pass by Direct Debit, each year we will notify you by email (or post if you have requested) about your automatic renewal at least 10 working days in advance of the renewal date (which is 1 December 2020), as agreed in the Direct Debit guarantee.
Activating your renewed Pass
Any Pass holders who are renewing their Pass by Direct Debit won’t need to get a re-issued card. Please simply bring along your existing Pass(es) when you visit. Any new Pass holders in the family should also bring a suitable form of identification.
Amending your renewal
If you need to let us know about any changes to your Direct Debit renewal (such as change of bank details, or switching to a different type of Locals' Pass, such as from Adult to Senior, or Child to Adult, please contact us to let us know by 19 November 2020 (via 01726 811972 or email@example.com).
Cancelling your renewal
If you would like to cancel your Direct Debit renewal, please contact us to let us know by 19 November 2020 (via 01726 811972 or firstname.lastname@example.org). We would also advise you to cancel this directly with your bank by 1 December 2020 at the latest.
Even if you have already cancelled your Direct Debit, you can continue to visit the Eden Project until 30 November 2020.
Proof of residence
Locals’ Passes are available exclusively to residents of Cornwall and Devon, and purchasers do require proof of residence. Please bring with you the appropriate forms of identity, chosen from the list below – either when buying your Pass in person or when you first visit after buying your Pass online or on the phone:
Proof of residence with photo ID
Ideally, you should bring one piece of identity that shows residence in either Devon or Cornwall (i.e. postcodes starting with TR, PL, TQ or EX), and has your photo on, such as a driving licence or bus pass showing your current address.
Non-photo proof of residence plus photo ID
If your photo ID does not show your Cornwall or Devon address (i.e. if this residence is not your primary address, or if it is a bus pass or work badge and does not show your address), please also bring in additional proof of your residence in Cornwall or Devon, such as a utility bill.
Three forms of proof of residence
If you have no photo ID at all, please bring three pieces of identity that show residence in either Devon or Cornwall (i.e. postcodes starting with TR, PL, TQ or EX), such as utility bills.
Proof of residence for children
Buying a Locals' Pass for your child as well? Simply bring them along with you, and we'll use your own proof of residence. If you're sending them along with an adult who doesn't live at your house, please get them to bring in your own proof of residence.
If you've lost your Pass but it is still valid and you would like to visit us, we will be able to help you at the Visitor Centre admissions desk. Please bring along a form of identity (a photo-card driving license is best). Please arrive a few minutes early when you visit so that we can look you up on our system.
