Big Jubilee Lunch

Saturday 6 May

The day of the Coronation itself! Join us in our Coronation Big Lunch Social hub, where you can chat and get to know others, whilst watching the full ceremony live on a big screen as part of the official celebrations for the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla. Pull up a deckchair, bring your own food or pick up a tasty treat from one of our cafés and test your competitive skills with giant games of Jenga and Connect 4. We’ll also be hosting Fifteen Minutes for the Future, giving you the change to try the revolutionary idea of what can be achieved within just a quarter of an hour.

Ade Adepitan

Sunday 7 May

Hear from our incredible line-up of inspiring speakers and enjoy live music across site from Alex Robertson Trio and Karnos Brass Band!

Paralympian, broadcaster and disability advocate, Ade Adepitan, will talk about connecting with each other and with nature, and travelling to the frontline of climate change; Chef Tom Hunt will explore his sustainability manifesto Root to Fruit eating; as well as a youth panel featuring great charities making the case for youth-led change.

Livestream

Can’t join us in person? We will be livestreaming a series of talks broadcast live from the stunning Mediterranean Biome addressing the Coronation themes of youth, community, diversity and sustainability. Attend live or watch remotely via Eden’s social media platforms YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Coronation Big Lunch

An idea from the Eden Project, The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual community celebration for neighbours and communities, bringing people together to share friendship, food and fun.

This year, tens of thousands of events will see millions of people getting together at Coronation Big Lunches in their communities to celebrate the Coronation, and we have created spaces throughout this special weekend for communities to come together to celebrate with each other at Eden, the home of The Big Lunch.

If you’re joining from home, celebrate the Coronation with your community with our free Coronation Big Lunch pack with activities, craft ideas, recipes and more!
