Admissions Assistant

£5.85 per hour for ages 16-17, £6.54 for ages 18-20 and £7.93 for ages 21 and over

We know at Eden that first impressions count and our Admissions team are our first port of call for visitors.
 
We’re already looking at our season ahead and know we have exciting programmes taking place throughout 2019, we are looking to recruit members for the team who have a passion for Eden and can consistently deliver a warm engaging welcome suitable for our world class destination, whilst focusing on the sales of Admission tickets, Gift Aid and the Eden Guide.

Car Parks Operative 

(1) Permanent 40 hour contract available
(2) Fixed Term, 16 hours per week until 31/12/2019 available
£5.75 ages 16-17, £6.44 ages 18-20, £7.83 ages 21+
 
We are looking for people to work with our car parks team during our busy periods.  We have 11 car parks of varying sizes and we can fill all of these, so you will need to be a quick learner, confident, able to make decisions and to react to changing circumstances to make sure our visitors have a smooth arrival and can find a parking space. 
 
Our car parkers are the first staff that our visitors meet, so we are looking for people who are also friendly, approachable, informative and helpful. If you can do this with a flourish and a smile, even on the wettest of summer days, we would love to hear from you!

Eden International Coordinator

Permanent, full time position

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual for this position, who will be working on our International projects, including HotHouse; Eden’s Creative Leadership and Cultural change programmes.
In order to be successful you will be used to juggling a busy workload and will have previously worked on fast paced projects in a varied administration position. The role includes administrative co-ordination and project management support to assist with the delivery of specific accountabilities across the portfolio of Eden Project’s International work, and assisting with programme operational activity.

Energy Manager 

Full time, permanent position 
£31,965pa 
 
Eden is looking for an Energy Manager to join its Estates team to develop energy initiatives across the Eden site to support and enhance its sustainable operations. 
 
You will ensure all the Utilities (including water) are managed ensuring we use best practice, develop efficiencies and utilise the energy monitoring and targeting systems to reduce consumption. You will help develop, support and promote the energy policy, provide advice and guidance to working on technical efficiency and renewable projects and be a key voice in the development of the sustainable operations strategy and energy conservation across the Eden estate. 
 
You will have excellent knowledge and experience of energy reduction strategies, energy monitoring systems and have proven negotiating skills to ensure best options are achieved when purchasing all of our utilities. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work and build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are essential along with the ability to generate new ideas to help take the site forward.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Energy Manager to develop their skills in the unique surroundings of the Eden Project.

Graphic Designer - Editorial

Permanent contract, 40 hours per week 
£23,626 per annum
 
Would you like to work with a vivacious team of designers on a range of print publications? Create designs to enlighten our visitors, promote our values and expand the reach of the Eden Project across the world?
 
We are looking for a vibrant and creative designer with a background in the publishing industry or relevant experience to join our in-house Graphic Design team. You’ll take on a variety of tasks including designing illuminating guidebooks, informative reports and stunning magazine spreads. 
 
Using your prior print-based design experience you’ll create effective and engaging publications with strong typography and know how to make the best use of colour, images and fonts to create attractive and clear layouts. You’ll be confident laying up data and understand how to communicate to diverse audiences and age ranges. You’ll have experience of working collaboratively with an editorial team, be comfortable using freelance photographers and illustrators to enhance your work and have a clear understanding of the publishing process. An eye for detail is essential. 
 
You’ll need to be a great communicator, be adaptable to the needs of a project and be able to work to strict deadlines. You must have a good working knowledge of graphic design packages including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and be confident in liaising with external printers. 
 
Above all you’ll have a good sense of humour and thrive under pressure.

Interim Head of Finance

£55,000pa pro-rata
Interim position until 31st March 2019 initially
 
We have an opportunity for a finance professional to lead our financial control and accounting activities, ensure that we adhere to UK regulatory and legislative requirements. You will manage a high volume and value of cash, assets and liabilities, ensuring the effective deployment of financial resources to maximise our return and optimise cashflow. You will be expected to ensure that all financial data is accurately reported in preparation for budgets, tax returns and financial statements, analysing the details and managing the internal and external audits. You will lead the financial accounting team, ensuring that each individual is able to meet the demands of their role and provide expert financial advice and guidance across the organisation, in area such as capital projects, cost control, income generation, taxation and risk management. You will be a pivotal in our finance team and will have the responsibility to manage all cash on a daily basis, making tactical decisions to balance liquidity with supply chain continuity. 
 
You will hold a full post-graduate accountancy qualification and be a fully chartered member with ICAEW / ACCA or CIMA. With experience of managing an Accounting function, you have experience in a senior manager capacity, ideally with commercial experience across a wide variety of accounting functions and practices. You will have great attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at all times and monitoring all transactions.
 
We are looking for a Head of Finance who can deliver in a fast paced, changing environment, has experience of managing and developing finance teams effectively, and is also keen to learn, grow and drive forward continual  improvements in our service.

Security and Safety Operative 

£7.93 per hour (to be reviewed from 1st April)
Permanent contract
Annualised Hours, 40 hours per week
 
We have a vacancy in our Security Team who are responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our world renowned visitor destination 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 
 
Main duties include the locking and unlocking of all buildings across the site as required, security patrols, monitoring of all alarms systems site, responding to and providing support for emergencies. You will also play a key role in ensuring that the site is safe at all times for visitors and colleagues.  
 
We are a busy place, outside of our opening hours as well as during them; you will often be the first point contact for people before we open to our visitors each day so will need to acquire a wide knowledge of the business. 
 
Our ideal candidate will need to be flexible, willing to work some unsociable hours and have excellent communication skills. With an increasing number of events this is a visitor facing role so we are looking for people who also have great customer service skills.
 
You will be committed to working as part of a team and keen to be involved Eden’s mission.
