Join leading climate activist Vanessa Nakate in conversation with Eden's co-founder, Sir Tim Smit. Together, they'll discuss the radical intersections of climate change, racial justice and social justice as explored in Vanessa's debut book, A Bigger Picture: My Fight to Bring a New African Voice to the Climate Crisis.

During the event, Vanessa will share readings from her book, offering her perspective on the climate crisis as a young Ugandan woman who sees that her community bears inequitable consequences of global warming.

Founder of the influential Rise Up Climate Movement, in 2019 Vanessa Nakate, became Uganda’s first Fridays for Future protestor, inspired by Sweden’s Greta Thunberg. Her vision for the climate movement is founded on resilience, sustainability, and how we can—and must—build a livable future for all, inclusive to all.
